Timothy “Timmy” R. Coffey, 63, of Swayzee, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at his home in Swayzee. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on May 11, 1961, to Raymond and Becky (Smith) Coffey. On March 20, 1999, he married Thelma (Pearson), who survives.
Timmy proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he served on the USS Kiska. He worked as a carpenter foreman and was exceptional at his craft. He began his career as a foreman and retired as a happy papaw. Timmy loved being around his family and playing with his grandchildren. He also had a passion for fishing, especially bass fishing. Timmy was truly a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
Timmy is survived by his wife, Thelma Coffey; his mother, Becky Coffey; his children, Nicholas Coffey, Shelby Ann (Matthew Hisey) Coffey, and Robert Ray Coffey; his grandchildren, Conner, Dom, Mav, Zoey, Easton, and Piper; his siblings, Vickie (Buddy) Fullen, Tony Coffey, Susan Coffey, and Rachel Coffey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond R. Coffey; his sister, Nancy Coffey; his brother, Robert Coffey; and a nephew.
At Timmy’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
