, 81, of LeRoy E. Disbro, 81, of Marion, Indiana (formerly of Peru) passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
He was born on April 30, 1943 in Adrian, Michigan to LeRoy A. and Lorraine (Parkhurst) Disbro. LeRoy was a 1961 graduate of Peru High School. He was very proud of the fact that he was the first trapeze artist in the Peru Circus in 1960. LeRoy was retired from Dollar General where he worked in management. He was an avid mushroom hunter and fisherman. LeRoy was also quite the jokester and had a very dry sense of humor.
LeRoy is survived by his children: LeRoy “Scott” (Michelle) Disbro of Russiaville, Indiana, Lynette (Colin) Sherrill of Peru, Indiana, Andrea (Richard) Gasaway of Bunker Hill, Indiana, Cheryl (Rodney) Cress of Peru, Indiana, Misty Schoettmer (Donny Price) of Frankfort, Indiana, Michelle (Joshua) Archer of Peru, Indiana, and Rachel (Chad) Luse of Rochester, Indiana; grandchildren: Lane, Marisha, Elias, John, Kyle, Hannah, Emmaleah, Christian, Sommur, Autumn, Olivia, and Mackenzie; and great-grandchildren: Gabriella Rose, Deandre Jr., and Casper. Also surviving is a brother, Larry (Nola) “Chris” Disbro of Peru and girlfriend, Sara Coffey, of Marion, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog, Bella.
