Larry Dale Stover

Larry Dale Stover, 79, of Macy passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Blair Ridge Health Campus in Peru.

He was born December 9, 1945 in Peru, Indiana to Cotton and Annabelle (Agle) Stover.

Larry served our country in in the Marines from July 1963 to 1967. He achieved the rank of Sergeant, was a Wireman Foreman, and fought in the Vietnam War. He worked for United Telephone/Sprint for 35 years retiring in February 2003. He was also a volunteer fireman for the city of Silver Lake for many years.

He was a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and scuba diving earlier in life with his lifelong passion being his love of horses and trail riding. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed old country music. He was a member of the Deedsville community church from childhood and was always willing to help those in need. Most of all, Larry loved living on his farm and the quiet life it offered.

He is survived by two of his children, Erika Darlene Stover, Atlantic Beach, FL, Judd Alan Stover, Jacksonville, FL, his granddaughter Parker Melissa Stover, and partner of 18 years Karan Sue Rogers. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, brother, and daughter Melissa Louise Stover.

Visitation will be held from 10am to noon on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru. The funeral service will follow at noon with Pastor Jeff Tomson officiating. Interment will take place at Enterprise Cemetery in rural Miami County.
