Dustin James Nickles, 35, of Wabash, Indiana, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Wabash. He was born on August 9, 1989, in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Dustin was a U.S. Army veteran and was driven by his work. He enjoyed his work in construction and took pride in doing home renovations and working on cars. Dustin could and would fix anything for others. He collected Hot Wheels and was a people person- he could make friends with anybody. He attended Treaty Church of Christ. Dustin loved to help others and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors and hiking. Dustin was fun loving, good natured, and loved to laugh and play.
He is survived by his daughter, McKenzie Benford of South Carolina; son, Easton Vescera of Tennessee; siblings, Adrian Burkholder of Ravenna, Ohio, Elizabeth Nickles and Tara Brown, both of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Cheryl Moore of Anchorage, Alaska, and Carl Moore, Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, and his adopted family, Darrell and Deb Benson of Wabash, and Sarah Dillon. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Moore, Sr., and adopted brother, Darren Benson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, April 14, 2025 with Pastor Ryan Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
