Charles F. Bebout, 72, of Jonesboro, passed away at 7:25 pm on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at VA Northern Indiana Health Care System – Fort Wayne. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, August 17, 1952, to James and Alvina (Picco) Bebout.
Charles attended Marion High School and then faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1970-1972. Following his military service, Charles worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, cutting wood, walking in the woods with his dog, and he especially enjoyed the company of his family.
Charles is survived by Brenda Bebout of Jonesboro; son, Charles (Melanie) Bebout of Jonesboro; daughter, Tannie (Jeremy) Sosh of Marion; step daughter, Amanda (Eric) Cardenas of Anderson; grandchildren, Aundreya, Faith, Bailey, Dakota, Kaylee, Christa, Ethan; 9 great grandchildren; brother, James Bebout; and sisters, Patricia (John) Cooper of Summitville, Ina E. Bemis of Fairmount.
He was preceded in death by parents, James L. and Alvina Bebout; son, William Bebout; and brother-in-law Grover Bemis.
At Charles’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
