MIAMI COUNTY, IN- The Miami County Community Foundation invites the community to come together on Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2026, for a day of generosity, gratitude, and good company.
The Foundation office at 13 E. Main Street in Peru will welcome visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to celebrate and learn about the impact of local giving. A catered lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., giving friends, neighbors, and donors an opportunity to connect over food and fellowship.
The Foundation will also present the 2026 Lifetime Philanthropy Award during lunch, honoring an individual whose generosity and leadership have made a lasting difference in Miami County.
“Giving Tuesday is a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together as a community,” said Cheryl Broyles, Miami County Community Foundation Director of Development. “Every gift, no matter the size, helps create opportunities, strengthen our community, and build a brighter future for generations to come.”
Any gift to a new or existing community fund will receive a $2 match for every $1 donated. This Giving Tuesday, the Foundation is also making it easier than ever to create a permanent charitable legacy. With Foundation support and matching funds, a gift of $1,500 can establish a fully endowed $5,000 community fund that will support Miami County for generations to come.
Additionally, any gift to the YMCA 1 to 1 Match Fund for the Miami County YMCA Next Level Campaign will receive a $1 match for every $1 donated. This campaign, which includes playground and parking improvements, as well as building improvements and program equipment will enhance recreational opportunities and strengthen services for Miami County residents.
Those who are unable to attend in person can still participate by calling 765.470.1778 to arrange a gift or by donating online at www.nicf.org.
