Andrew J. “Buddy” Sutter

Andrew J. "Buddy" Sutter, 69, of Marion, passed away at 10:29 am on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Marion Health. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, September 11, 1954, to Robert and Eve (Bush) Sutter.  On November 2, 1997, he married Vickie Carmack. Andrew was a proud graduate of Marion High School and a dedicated veteran of the U.S. Army.  After his honorable military service, Andrew found his calling in the retail industry, working as a salesperson and manager with Speedway Store for many years. His commitment and leadership were evident in every role he undertook. Andrew had a passion for fixing up antique cars, often spending countless hours in his garage. He cherished the moments when friends and family would join him, sharing stories and laughter while he worked. His love for maintaining a beautiful yard was well-known, and he took great pride in his home. Above all, Andrew’s greatest joy came from bringing his family together. He loved hosting cookouts, as well as creating memories filled with love, laughter, and delicious food. Andrew’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for family will forever be remembered by those who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Sutter of Marion; daughters, Corrine (Anthony) Collins of Marion and Shanna (Dearin) Inman of Marion; bonus daughters, Karri (Bruce) Richard and Marcella Fouce, who passed away on September 2, 2024; grandchildren, Merissa (Jonathon Blum) Sutter of Marion, Kayley (Kevin) Carmona of Marion, Alexis Collins of Marion, Dashawn Inman of Marion, Deasia Inman of Marion, Britteny (Joey) Wilson of Crawfordsville, Katylyn Richard of Marion, and Lea (Rob) Richard of CA; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Sandy) Sutter, Jr., of Bloomington and Micky Sutter of PA; sister, Barb Pedro of RI; best buddy, Davey DeRossett of Marion; and his favorite dog, Max. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eve Sutter. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Marion National Cemetery.
