MIAMI COUNTY, IN- The 2025 Cole Porter Scholarship program was held today, April 30th, in the Peru High School Auditorium. This scholarship is awarded each year for any graduating senior from Miami County who will major in the fine arts. There are two scholarships awarded, the first is for $15,000 and the second for $10,000 and are divided into 4 yearly payments.
The committee awarded the $15,000 scholarship to Emily Lewis of Peru High School. She will be attending Ball State with a major in fine arts/medical illustration.
The $10,000 scholarship was awarded to Rosa Wilson of Maconaquah. She will be attending Purdue University Fort Wayne with a major in music education.
An alternate is always selected in case a student is unable to continue in their performance or field. This went to Max Caraco of North Miami and he will be attending IUK with a major in art education.
