Zoe Helen Smith, 80, Marion, died at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at ManorCare Health Services – Prestwick. She was born in Virginia, MN, to the late Nicholas and Athanasia (Papondreao) Michos.
Zoe worked for Gen Corp for 25 years and previously worked in the office at Dana Corp for three years. She spent much of her time making pretty punch-hook rugs, traveling to various festivals to sell them. She loved cats, and she enjoyed exercising, both through water aerobics and walking.
Survivors include her children, Lisa Ann George, Indianapolis, and Jay Mark (Jackie) Smith, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jillian Smith, Nickolas Hartgrove, and Jake George; sister, Mary Bennett, Evansville; nieces and nephews, Nikki Bennett and Chad (Julie) Bennett; great-nieces and nephews, Jackson Bennett, Ashton Bennett, Alicia Presley, and Donovan McNeal; and 4 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. with Rev. Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will follow at Estates of Serenity, Marion.
