Wilma L. Middlesworth, 89, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 4:53 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Colonial Oaks Health Care and Rehab in Marion. She was born in Tipton to Charles and Sarah “Eva” (Ronk) Cheek. She married Darrell E. Middlesworth, and he preceded her in death on September 13, 2002.

Wilma was a farmer’s wife who faithfully served alongside her husband on the farm. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose selfless life was evident in all that she did. Her hospitality was never-ending, and she always had fresh-baked cookies and tea. Wilma was a member of Herbst United Methodist Church, Hope Circle, Progressive Farm Club, TOB, and WCM.

She will be missed by her sons, Dave (Sally) Middlesworth, Florence, Kentucky, Danny (Cathy) Middlesworth, Swayzee, Max (Marsha) Middlesworth, Marion, and Brian (Ronda) Middlesworth, Marion; grandchildren, Justin (Erica) Middlesworth, Walton, Kentucky, Tyler (Lacey) Middlesworth, Warsaw, Kentucky, Tonya (Brent) Newhouse, Converse, Elaine (Neil) Sweet, Converse, Brett (Linsie) Middlesworth, Marion, Laura (Doug) Werling, Swayzee, Tracy (Josh) Carey, Swayzee, Sheena (Frank) Jurkiewicz, Gainesville, Florida, and Shane (Brittany) Middlesworth, Marion; 23 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and sisters-in-law, Eva Cheek, Milda Cheek, Nancy Cheek, and Dortha Maple.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Darrell; brothers, John, Floyd, Lloyd Cheek, and Dr. Joe Cheek; and a close friend, Ronnie Powell.

The family will receive visitors from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Roseburg Event Center, 2983 W. 38th St., Marion, IN 46953.

Wilma’s funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., with Pastor Dave Chinn officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Colonial Oaks Health and Rehab, as well as to Heart to Heart Hospice.
