Willnetta J. Gerstorff, 74, died at 12:13 a.m. at University Nursing Center in Upland on Wednesday, April 27, 2017, where she lived for over two years. She was born in Marion to Henry and Mariam (Mills) Ritter.
Willnetta was a finisher at General Tire and worked for a laundromat in Jonesboro when she was younger. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved to cook and have family get-togethers. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed playing cards.
Some of her favorite pastimes included listening to country music, especially Merle Haggard, and collecting dolls. She also loved to sing The Old Rugged Cross and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in 2016.
Survivors include her children, Willard “Dean” Gerstorff, Gas City, Timmy Gerstorff, Clearwater, Florida, Raymond (Tina) Gerstorff, New Hampshire, Allen (Brenda) Gerstorff, Georgia, and Marty Gerstorff and Teddy Gerstorff, both from Stuart, Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers, Charles Ritter, Upland, Elvin Ritter, Marion, and Fred Ritter, Van Buren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Tonya Gerstorff; infant son, Joe Gerstorff; sister, Lina Salazar; and brother, Butch Ritter.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Services will begin at 12 noon with Paul Colyer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
