William F. Phillips, 39, Alexandria, died at 10:04 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016, at Marion General Hospital. He was born in Marion, Indiana, to William and Susanna (Miller) Phillips, Jr. He married Amanda Holmes on November 2, 2013, and she survives.

William worked as a plumber. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, and camping, and he loved going on a recent snorkeling trip with his family. William also enjoyed listening to music, playing video games, watching TV and movies, and shopping. He was very proud of his wardrobe and loved finding new clothes and shoes. William will be remembered for his feisty, stubborn, strong-willed personality.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda; children, Cheyenne Carmack, Marion, Maylinn Phillips, Noblesville, Brayden Phillips, Sims, Cassandra Bennett, Gas City, and Cordell Bennett, Gas City; parents, William (Susanna) Phillips, Jr.; brother, Eric (Ann) Phillips, Marion; sister, Stacy Small, Cicero; nephew, Alex (Josie) Small; niece, Skyleigh Holmes; brother-in-law, Anthony (Melisa) Holmes, Sharpsville; mother-in-law, Nancy (Dexter Lamb) Holmes, Anderson; father-in-law, Raymond D. Holmes, Glasgow, Kentucky; several aunts and uncles; and his dog, Frank.

William was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Miller, Barbara (Kelly) Miller, and Ruth Chambers.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

In accordance with the family’s wishes there will be no funeral service.
