William F. Hoss, Jr. 46, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at home, with his loving family by his side. William was born on November 26, 1970, in Marion, Indiana to Sherrill (Southerland) Hoss Wilcoxon and the late William F. Hoss, Sr.

William is survived by his son, Hunter Hoss, Daleville, Indiana, mother, Sherrill Southerland Hoss Wilcoxon, Sisters; Lisa Hoss Tighe (Fiancee Jeremy McMillan) Gas City, Indiana and Shelly Hoss Lester, Marion, Indiana, Step-sisters; Richael (Charles) Atkinson, Rhonda Crawford, both of Hartford City, Indiana, and Rita (Randy) Cook, Keystone, Indiana. He is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, especially his uncle Jerry Hoss and family of Marion, IN.

William was preceded in death by his nephew Austin Tighe, father and step-mother; William F. Hoss, Sr and Betty Hoss, Step-father, Gene Wilcoxon, and grandparents, Gurnie and Nellie Hoss, and L. F. and Irene Southerland.

William was an avid pool player winning many state and national awards. The most important thing to William was his family, especially his son, Hunter, whom he loved to the moon and back. He most enjoyed coaching his son in baseball and attending his sons sporting events. He enjoyed refinishing Pool Sticks and playing poker. William was described as the kindest, most loving, and fun person by his friends and was always willing to give others a helping hand.

William was a Steam Pipe Fitter, having worked for Hession Heating and Plumbing in Mooresville, IN. He also spent some time teaching Welding at Ivy Tech in Muncie, IN. He graduated from Elwood High School Class of 1989, Elwood, Indiana and also attended Ferris State University, Grand Rapids Michigan.

Arrangements for William have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, Indiana. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Eastview Wesleyan Church, 414 N. 10th St., Gas City, Indiana. A celebration of life service honoring William will follow at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Mark Atkinson officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City, Indiana.

Contributions made in memory of William may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
