William “Bill” Earl Toy, Sr., 71, Marion, died at 9:35 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky to Jack and Margaret Toy. He married Vicki (Shockey) Toy on August 21, 1976. She survives.

Bill retired from Ball-Foster after 30 years and was a United States Army Veteran. He served in Vietnam from 1967-1968, where he was a medic in the 254th Medical Detachment, Dust-Off Helicopter Ambulance, flying in numerous missions during his time, was a Purple Heart recipient and also received several Oak Clusters for his service. Bill raced at Bunker Hill and the Muncie Dragway and enjoyed NASCAR. He liked working on cars and enjoyed reading. Most importantly, Bill loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Vicki, Bill was survived by his mother, Margaret Smith, Marion; children, William Toy, Jr. and Ginger (Charles) Riley, both of Marion; grandchildren, Amanda Toy, Devin Toy, Kaitlyn Toy, Samantha Riley, Lucas Riley and Caleb Riley; great grandchildren, Ja’Vionn Cole, Ja’Leah Cole and Jaedyn Jones.; siblings, Marlene Ebert, Rick Toy, Connie Perry, Dennis Toy, and Lori Keeton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, Jack Toy; and brother, Kenneth Toy.

Private family services will be held.
