William “Bill” Cox, 52, passed away peacefully at 11:44 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Twin City Healthcare in Gas City with his family by his side to join his brother, Lee Cox, and father, Jim Cox, in heaven. He was born August 30, 1963, in Marion, the son of James O’Neil and Ada Cox.

Bill was a former truck driver for many years. He loved driving semis and talking about his experiences on the road. Bill was a member of the Branson Club for many years and was a huge fan of the Andy Griffith Show, Jerry Springer, and Steve Wilko. He loved talking on the phone and his favorite sayings were “You know what?”, “Is that right?”, and “Big time.”

Bill is survived by his loving mother, Ada Cox, Marion; one daughter, Shelby (Jared) McLain, Marion; one brother, Jim Cox, Marion; nephew, James Cox, Marion; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Cox; brother, Lee Cox; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Louise Cox; and maternal grandparents, Bill and Emma Levi.

Services for Bill will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Grant Memorial Park Chapel, 1606 W. 26th Street, Marion, IN, with Pastor Gary Bingham officiating. Burial will follow in Grant Memorial Park.

Family and friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the Grant Memorial Park Chapel.
