William “Bill” A. Cox, Jr.

William “Bill” A. Cox, Jr., 64, Marion, passed away in his home at 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017. He was born in Marion on July 6, 1953, to the late William and Mary (Addison) Cox, Sr.. Bill married Julie Beemer on July 29, 1980, and she survives.

Bill attended Marion High School and was the senior maintenance man at United Technologies in Huntington for 34 years. He loved working in his garage, especially on trucks. Bill also enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the Indianapolis Colts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Julie; daughters, Faith (Richard Tomlinson) Cox, Marion, and Christina Cox, Marion; grandchildren, Brandon Lee Brooks, Alexis Lynn Long, Colton Michael Wiley, Steven Allen Broomfield, and Jalen Anthony Broomfield; sister, Deloris Ann Heath; very special nephew, Adam Brock, and many nephews, nieces, and friends; in-laws, Larry (Sharon) Buckler; and his dog, J.C.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Leroy Cox.

The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Services to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
