Jesus said to her, “I am the the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will never die.”

Wanda’s wish came true August 11, 2017 when she awoke in Heaven. Wanda’s parents were waiting for her in Glory as were her beloved husband, George Dennison, Sr., two sons, George Dennison Jr. and William (Bill) Dennison; and three brothers, George C. Turner, Merrill E. Turner and Lewis N. Turner.

Born in Marion, Indiana to Fred and Alma Turner on October 20, 1931, Wanda was deeply loved and she loved just as deeply. She was such a blessing to everyone who knew her. With her signature giggle and that twinkle in her eye Wanda gave of herself freely and expected nothing in return. She was very passionate for the Lord and her family. Her Faith in the Lord sustained her throughout her life. She attended Converse United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the choir, United Methodist Women, teaching vacation Bible school and served as treasurer of Outreach.

On January 7, 1950 she married the love of her life, George Dennison, together they had four boys. During her working years she was employed with Foster Forbes decorating AVON bottles and later worked as a telephone operator for Converse Consolidated Telephone. She and her husband owned and operated Dennison Trailer Park and for a short time they operated Marty’s restaurant. In her free time Wanda enjoyed the outdoors, fishing with her husband, collecting Indian statues and she was a talented acrylic painter.

Wanda leaves to cherish her memory two sons, James Dennison, Peru and Thomas (Lisa) Dennison, Converse; two daughters-in-law, Carol Dennison, Marion; Pam (Garry) Camden, Amboy; sister, Mable Stevens, Marion;

She was Blessed with 12 Grandchildren, Cynthia Dennison, Matthew Dennison, Gregory(Shannon) Camden, Kurk(Brandy) Camden, Beth (Elvin) Herschberger, Tony Dennison, Tabitha Dennison, George (Brandy) Dennison, John (Lindsey) Tibbits, Brad (Lori) Jones, Maria (Jesse) Bowland, Ryan Dennison; 16 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

A Celebration of Wanda’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 1pm in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Larrison-Martin Chapel, 308 East Marion Street, Converse, Indiana with Rev. Richard Olson officiating. The visitation will held be from 11:00 AM until services at the funeral home.
