Wabass Institute Recital at Honeywell Center

WABASH, Ind. – The 10th Annual Wabass Recital will take place on Fri., June 30 at 7 p.m. at the Honeywell Center. Talented double bass players from across the country will perform a concert spanning all musical genres.  A special thank you goes to our sponsors, The Honeywell Foundation and to The Harry R. Halloran Jr. Charitable Trust, a supporting organization of The Philadelphia Foundation. The Trust makes grants to support the work of Halloran Philanthropies, a worldwide charitable endeavor whose purpose is to support great innovators and enable their success. Wabass Institute is a unique performance institute located at the Honeywell Center in Wabash, Indiana. The full fellowship summer institute is led by three of the music world’s most exciting bass players: Eric Larson, Ranaan Meyer and Hal Robinson.

  Wabass is an intensive, one-week summer music camp exclusively for double bass players ages 14 and up, covering the entire spectrum of bass playing from basic techniques to classical, jazz, and orchestral excerpts. The week includes private lessons with all three teachers, master classes, faculty recital, student recital, and guest lecturers.

Admission to the Wabass Recital is $20 per person with general admission seating. Since seating is limited, reservations are recommended and may be made by calling the Honeywell Foundation Box Office at 260.563.1102, or online at www.honeywellcenter.org.
