Victoria L. “Vicki” Bickel, age 62, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 7:50 pm at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was a registered nurse and worked at St. Joseph and Lutheran Hospitals in Fort Wayne and for the Indiana State Board of Health. She enjoyed fishing, golfing and cooking and was devoted to her dogs Gizmo and Daphne. Vicki was born December 4, 1954, in Bluffton, the daughter of Dennis Lobsiger and Rose Perry. She married Robert Bickel and he passed away April 5, 2008. She is survived by her father and step-mother Dennis and Wanda Lobsiger of Bluffton, siblings Paul (Vicki) Swain of Roanoke, Tonya (Gary) Buzzard of Warren, Trudy Swain of Colorado, Cindy (Bob) Dillahay of Fishers, Cynthia Carter of Noblesville, John (Sandra) Strain of Georgia and Dave Strain of Georgia, numerous nieces and nephews, step-children Dean (Linda) Bickel of Cromwell, Shane (Karen) Bickel of Huntington, Kim (Terry) Bickel of Huntington, and Lauren (John) Adams of Huntington and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchilden. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father Rose and Bill Swain. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Preferred memorials are to the family, c/o Deal-Rice Funeral Home, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750.
