Vicki L. Lamb, age 63 of Fairmount, passed away at her residence on Saturday, February 20, 2016.  She was born in Marion on March 2, 1952, to the late Rufus and Betty (Blessing) Blackburn.  She attended school in Marion.  On November 2, 1969, Vicki married David C. Lamb in Marion.  Vicki was the Treasurer of the Fairmount Civil Defense and was a member since 1979.  Over the years, she worked at the Fairmount Village Pantry, North Manchester United Technologies, Dexter Axle, Fairmount Wire, and Family Fireworks.  Vicki also enjoyed volunteering at the Fairmount Helping Hands.  In her free time, she liked to play bingo at the Round Robbins; armature radio, her call sign was KA9VFL; hand-held video games; watching WWE, the Indianapolis Pacers, Days of Our Lives, and NASCAR—especially Kevin Harvick.  Most of all, Vicki loved spending time with her husband, David, and Shih Tzu, Rambo.

In addition to her husband, Vicki is survived by her siblings, Pete (Mary) Cornato, of Huntington, WV; Phillip (Brenda) Robinson, of Kokomo; Karen Bruss, of Kokomo; Jack (Sharon) Blackburn, of Fairmount; Janiece Burns, of North Manchester; Cindi (Randy) Gatchel, of Laketon; Frank Blackburn, of Gas City; Roger (Myrna) Blackburn, of Gas City; Christy (Larry) Whelchel, of Gas City; Wendy (Roger) Nealis, of Marion.

Vicki was preceded in death by, her parents, Rufus and Betty Blackburn; grandparents, Deryal and Minnie Blessing, and Ellery and Elsie Blackburn; sisters, Joella Allard and Peggy Blackburn; sibling-in-laws, Clifton Bruss, Terry Burns, and Debbie Blackburn; nephews, David Sneed and Patrick Blackburn.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Ind., where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 24, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service to honor Vicki’s life will be held on Thursday, February 25, at 10:00 a.m. with Gary McCaslin officiating.  Interment will follow at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
