Verna M. Shively, 88, North Manchester, IN died Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN.  She was born September 14, 1928 in North Manchester, IN to Lawrence J. & Mary E. (Frantz) Hoover.  She graduated from Laketon High School in 1946. On May 8, 1953 She married Roger E. Shively. He died March 16, 2016.  Verna was employed at Heckman Bindery from 1946-1953 she was then a secretary for Gragg Equipment in Warsaw, IN.  She and her husband delivered the Journal Gazette in Warsaw, IN and surrounding areas from 1970-1980. She was an avid Indiana University Basketball fan and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in school and sporting events.  She also enjoyed playing golf and shooting pool.  She was a former member of the West Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester, IN.  She is survived by son, Karl L. Shively, Goshen, IN; daughters, Cynthia A. (Bradley) Baumgardner, Tampa, FL; Donna (Quentin) Moudy, Warsaw, IN; Pamela S. Shively, Canterbury, CT; brother, Russell S. (Joann) Hoover, North Manchester, IN; sister, Grace Metzger, North Manchester, IN; grandchildren, Lori Tilsley, Andrew Baumgardner, Brett Baumgardner, Grant Shively, Devyn Shively, Preston Moudy, Daryann Moudy and Taralynn Moudy and great grandchildren, Chase Tilsley and Amileah Moudy.  Three brothers, Ray Hoover, Ernest Hoover and Homer Hoover and one sister, Ruby Muir, are deceased. Family and friends may call Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN.  Services will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Don Fecher and Rev.
