Tony R. Coppock, 64, Marion, died at 8:06 p.m. on Thursday November 24, 2016, in IU Health University Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born in Marion to Earl Eugene Coppock and Margot (Hays) Coppock-Mullenix. He married Julie Wood on June 18, 1980, and she preceded him in death on September 8, 2016.
Tony was a graduate of Marion High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1972-2001 where he was a 1st Sergeant of Transportation and Supply. He retired from Indiana Department of Transportation after 20 years as a unit foreman. Tony enjoyed target practicing, woodworking, and fishing.
Survivors include his mother, Margot (Michael L.) Coppock-Mullenix, Marion; children, Tony Ray Coppock, II, Marion, Nicole Coppock, Marion, and Marc Coppock, Seattle, Washington; granddaughter, Nancy Coppock, Albion; and siblings, Jon Coppock, Washington, D.C., Rita (Jay A.) Gilbert, Noblesville, and Karen (Bobby) McDonald, Avon.
In addition to his father, Tony was preceded in death by his son, Earl Eugene Coppock, II; brother, Thomas Coppock; and sister, Kathyrn Lemming.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion.
Funeral Service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Steven R. Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in Marion National Cemetery.
