Tonetta L. Richard, 57, passed away at Marion General Hospital, Marion on October 20, 2017. She was born in Marion, Indiana on May 2, 1960.
Tonetta graduated from Marion High School in 1978. She was a long-time resident of Marion.
She was employed with Comfort Suites as an executive housekeeper and in addition worked at Five Seasons Sports Club, in Indianapolis. In her free time Tonetta enjoyed crocheting, bowling, gin rummy, card games and going to casinos. She was a former member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Tonetta will be fondly remembered for her big heart, caring attitude and loving affection toward her family and friends.
Tonetta is survived by her children, Aisha J. Richard; Roberta A. (Larry) Thompson; Robert A. Richard, Jr., all of Marion; mother, Joan Reeves, Marion; brothers, Jeffery C. (Karen) Barber, Indianapolis; Janssen (Kimberly) Barber, Murrieta, California; Medgar C. (Debra) Barber, Cairo, Illinois; Vernon (Kimberly) Barber, Houston, Texas; sisters, Jolyn Norfolk, Ripley; Kim C. McCoy, Danville, Illinois; Michelle R. (Allerick) Knight, Suwanee, Georgia; aunt, Ruth Anne Nash, Danville, Illinois; grandchildren, Avari Richard and Jay-Qwaun Richard; best friend Robert Richard, Marion.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents and two cousins.
The home coming will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Lighthouse Assembly of God, 5909 South Jay Street, Marion, Indiana, with Pastor Stanford Bolden officiating.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 beginning at 9:00 until services in the church. Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana was entrusted with the arrangements.
