Thelma J. Miller, 91, of Warren, IN, formerly of Roanoke, IN, passed away at 7:15 AM on the Lord’s Day, Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.  She was born on Tuesday, September 22, 1925 to Leslie & Idabelle (Masters) Andrews in Amboy, IN.  Thelma married Homer “Bob” Miller on Friday, September 21, 1945 in Marion, IN; he passed away in 1995.  She graduated from Van Buren High School in 1943. She worked in the credit department for Sears in Marion, IN, until her marriage to Homer “Bob”.  Thelma lived in Roanoke, IN for 62 years before moving to Heritage Pointe in 2008. She was a member of American Legion Aux. Post #160 in Roanoke for 35 years.

 

Loving survivors include: Daughter – Peggy (John) Morrison, Warren, IN, Son – Toby (Harriett) Miller, Auburn, IN, Daughter-in-law-Susan Miller, Fairfield, OH, 7 Grandchildren, and 18 Great Grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her: Husband – Homer “Bob” Miller, Son – James A. Miller and Grandson-Joe Miller.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A service to celebrate Thelma’s life will be at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 26, 2016; viewing will be held one hour before the service.  Pastor Ethan Stivers will be officiating.  Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke.

 

Preferred memorials in honor of Thelma may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 8604 Allisonville Rd. Suite140,  Indianapolis, IN 46250
