Sue Powell, 62, Marion, died at Marion General Hospital at 4:40 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016. She was born in Marion, Indiana, to the late John W. and Leola (Dalrymple) Griffin. On June 24, 1984, Sue married Ron Powell, and he survives.
Sue was a member of Lakeview Wesleyan Church. She loved reading, taking annual trips to Shipshewana, spending time with her grandkids, and watching cooking shows.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ron, of 32 years; son, Brian (Jessica) Griffin, Marion; four grandchildren; brothers, Dave (Deb) Griffin, Angola, and Steve Griffin, Gas City; and sister, Sara (Tony) Fox, Marion.
Also preceding her in death were her brother, Johnny Griffin, and grandson, Aiden Griffin.
Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016, at Gardens of Memory Chapel, 11201 S. Marion Rd. – 35, Marion, IN. Services to celebrate Sue’s life will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Sonnefield officiating. Entombment will follow at Gardens of Memory.
