WABASH, Ind. – Last week, 77 schools were recognized for the AP successes. Southwood is one of 77 schools in Indiana to have 25% or more students earn a 3 or higher on one or more Advanced Placement Exams. The picture shows Dr. McCormick, State Superintendent of Education; Cynthia Bell, Science Teacher; Jeff Springer, Science Teacher; and Andrew McDaniel, Principal.
These Advanced Placement Teachers were unable to attend the recognition ceremony: Mr. Rod Cole, Math Teacher; Mr. Troy Andrews, English Teacher; Mrs. Shelly Faust, Social Studies Teacher; Mr. James Sparks, Social Studies Teacher.
Advanced Placement courses are more challenging than other high school courses and give students an opportunity to experience the rigor of college level classes.
