Simone “SiSi” Chloé Flournoy, 64, of Marion, Indiana, died Sunday, September 17, 2017, at her residence.
Simone moved here a few weeks ago from Detroit, Michigan, to allow her family to care for her as she made her final journey on earth. She was born December 10, 1952, at Lawrenceville, IL, to Leo Anderson Sr., and Evelyn Louise (Scott) Anderson McCaskill. She graduated from Detroit Public Schools.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Flournoy, I, Florida; 7 children, Tomika Robinson, Atlanta, GA, LaQuita Howze, Pontiac, MI, Jasmine and Adrianna Gaither, both of Atlanta, GA, Brittany Flournoy, Atlanta, GA, Lafayette Flournoy, Pontiac, MI, and Wayne Flournoy, II, Marion, IN; Siblings, Karol (Larry) Emmons, Marion, IN, Curtis Anderson, Beverly (Rodney) Mills, Sheldon (Lareshia) Anderson, and Brian Anderson, all of Atlanta, GA; Step-mother, Peggy Adams, Atlanta, GA; Step-sisters, Ahna and Henrika Mason, Atlanta, GA; Aunts, Betty Dumas and Mae Holliday of Detroit, MI; uncles, Robert Holliday of Detroit, MI, and Herbert Johnson, Indianapolis, IN; Grandchildren, Keyanna Barney, Khalil Barney, De’Juanika Jordan, Quillen Howze, and Jaillen Howze; Great-Grandchildren, Kendall Barney, Braylen Flournoy, Arielle Williams, Daniel Gilbert, Chase Gilbert, and Chloé Simone Flournoy; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by brother, Leo Anderson Jr.; maternal grandparents, Elzie and Nazarie Holliday; paternal grandmother, Auburn Nichols; and uncle Karyl Holliday.
A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Greater Second Baptist Church, 705 W 26th St, Marion, IN.
