Shirley A. Meints, 81, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 9:45 pm, Monday, July 10, 2017 at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Wabash. She was born July 31, 1935 in Phelps County, Missouri.
Shirley married Donald H. Meints in St. James, Missouri on July 14, 1951; he died August 7, 2007. She was a counselor and a house parent at a boys ranch in Mesa, Arizona. Shirley enjoyed gardening and fishing. She lived in Wabash since 2006.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kathy Meints of Wabash, two grandchildren, Tanya Walls of Wabash, and Travis Meints of Warsaw, Indiana; and two great grandchildren, Alex Music of Peru, Indiana, and Alisha Music of Wabash. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her son Thomas Meints, who died in 2014.
