Sherry Raber Declares Candidacy for Clerk of Miami County

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – Sherry Raber of Peru, 1st Deputy Bookkeeper of the Miami County Clerk’s Office and Treasurer of the Miami County Republican Party, declares her candidacy for Clerk of Miami County. Sherry stated, “I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for County Clerk. During my 6 years working at the Miami County Clerk’s Office I have gained extensive knowledge of all aspects of the office. I have worked hard to learn every duty, of the many, that the Clerk’s Office is responsible for. I have the ability to run the civil filings desk, traffic tickets, criminal filings, voter registration and extensive knowledge of the position I have held for 3 years as bookkeeper. I have also had the priviledge of being the current Clerk’s right hand for the past 3 years and have learned the duties of the Clerk. I have attended several state conferences every year and have been on the front lines of any changes coming to our county government. I was also a member of the team that discussed and decided to change our case management system to Odyssey that will take effect December of this year. This computer program will be a huge change for the Clerk’s office and I have the knowledge to make the switch and have seen how the program works. Sherry goes on to say, “If elected County Clerk I will work diligently to provide the best services for our County. I will be a valued partner with all other entities that the Clerk’s Office works with, such as the court systems, Probation Department, Sheriff’s Department, City law enforcement, Community Corrections and attorneys, but most of all I will work the hardest for the people of our County.”
