Ron was born in New Albany, Indiana. He passed away on May 20, 2017 in Marion.
Ron spent most of his life in Gas City. He was employed and later retired from General Motors. In his free time he enjoyed playing pool, dancing, bowling and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Ron was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Moose Lodge 1778, he volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Marion Heart Center.
Ron is survived by his wife, Beth A. Totten, Marion; children, Stacie (Berry) Mettert, Charles (Tammy) Dooley, Viginia Jessup, all of Gas City; Cynthia Dooley and Donnie (Audrey) Totten, Marion; special friends, John (Karen) Hunter and Cheryl Gerstorff and Debbie and Wendall Gerstorff; two sisters, Betty Purvis, Jonesboro; Ruth (Richard) Sawyer, Salem.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Totten; his parents, and his brother, Steven Totten.
Visitation will be from 4pm-7pm, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in the funeral home. Masonic Rites will be held at 7pm.
The funeral will be at 1pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana.
