Ruth was born in Marion, Indiana, on October 28, 1937 to the late Oliver and Dorothy (Hale) Garrett.
She passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 in the Wesleyan Health Care Center in Marion, Indiana.
Ruth was a homemaker who loved her family. She like to read and crochet while listening to country music.

Sons: David (Rita) Russ and Tim (Christine) Russ, both of Marion
6 grandchildren
16 great-grandchildren
5 great-great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 10am in the Converse Cemetery, Converse, Indiana.
