Ruth D. Herring, 103, Marion, died at 11:24 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center, LaFontaine. She was born in Marion, Indiana, to the late Orange and Leona (Smith) Bish. She married Herman Herring, and he preceded her in death in 1982.
Ruth was a member of Morris Chapel Church, and she enjoyed quilting and fishing.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Foy, Marion, Mike (Sonja) Herring, Warren, and Daniel (Joanna) Herring, Boise, Idaho; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Doreen Clifton, four sisters, and four brothers.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no services. Burial will take place at Morris Chapel Cemetery, Marion.
