Russell White, 77, of Peru was called home on September 10, 2016, after a long chronic illness.

He was born on May 11, 1939 to Rollin and Bessie White in Knifeley, Kentucky.  They preceded him in death.  He married Helena (Raber) White on June 20, 1980.  She survives.

Russell served in the U.S. Army.  He retired from Northwestern School Corporation.  He was also a member of the Zion Chapel Church.  He enjoyed talking with church members, spending time with family and friends, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife and two sons: David White of Carmel, and Michael White of Kokomo.  Also, two step-children: Phyllis Raber-Morehouse of Bradenton, FL; and Gary Raber of Peru.  Also, he has three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 10am – 12 noon at Zion Chapel Church.  Funeral service will follow at 12 noon, with Pastor George Dinkel and Pastor Rod Correll officiating.  Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, which military service provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Chapel Church.
