Russell Dean Scott, 77, went to his heavenly home October 19, 2016. He was born on March 25, 1939 to Robert and Lucille (Ricks) Scott.
He served in the Navy from 1956-1960. He worked at Honeywell in Wabash as an inspector from 1960-1964. He then worked at Wabash Magnetics as a design engineer for 35 years, retiring in 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca. Children Philip (Christine) Scott, Lancaster, New York. Daughters Ellen Marie (Gary) Nichols Sara Kay Robison, Mexico, Sheryl Lynn (Paul) Fincher, Pasco, Washington. Step-son Terry (Karen) Hewitt, North Manchester, Indiana. Siblings Robert (Anita) Scott La Mesa, Calif. Janice (Robert) Davenport, Anderson South Carolina, Virginia Marshall, Cape Coral, Florida. 10 grandchildren 3 step grandchildren 15 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin sister Ruth Ann Boettjer, son John Scott, step daughter Christie Tolley, grandson Jacob Wesley Scott and step great granddaughter Jayden Marie Granstaff.
Visitation will be at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 4-7 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Peru Grace Brethren Church, 430 South Broadway, Peru, Indiana at 2 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 with Pastors Dave Jodry, Rick Tolley and Dave Noel officiating. Burial will be in the Westlawn Cemetery at Denver, Indiana. Military service will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
