Rosemary Baker, age 86, of Huntington, passed away Monday April 18, 2016 at 6:30 pm at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She had worked at Magnatech and was a was a member of American Legion Post #85 Auxiliary.
Rosemary was born June 20, 1929, in South Portsmith, Kentucky, the daughter of William Roscoe and Ethel (Ratliff) Brown. On September 6, 1947 she married her beloved husband of 45 years Max Eugene Baker in Huntington and he passed away July 16, 1993. She is survived by a son Ronald (Joanna) Baker of Fort Wayne, a daughter Laura Chalmers or Huntington, 6 grandchildren Stephenie (Mark) Reno of Muncie, Gina Godsey of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rhonda Baker of Fort Wayne, Ryan Baker of Bluffton, Jared Fishbaugh of Huntington and Skyler Waldron of Huntington, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters Barbara Ellis of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and Carol Sue Johnson of Salsbury, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by a daughter Tamara Fishbaugh and 4 brothers.
Visitation will be held Saturday April 23 from 1-3 pm preceding the 3:00 pm funeral service at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel with Pastor Richard Bunnell officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.
