Rose M. Mayes, 79, of Van Buren, IN, passed away at 12:40 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her residence in Van Buren, IN. She was born on Sunday, March 29, 1936, in New York, NY. She had worked for JC Penney. She retired form Scott & White memorial Hospital in Temple TX. A strong, hard working mother of 9 children, Rose had her hands full. She loved each one of her children unconditionally. She was a die- hard Cubs Fan. The Steelers were her favorite team. She loved to watch the WWE. Her biggest love was for Jesus. She is with him now.

She was preceded in death by her parents- Henry and Lucy Michelson ,and Brother- Bobby Michelson, Sister- Tessie Walker.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home 201 N Main Street Van Buren on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Burial will follow at a later date in Temple, TX.
