Rose M. (Jacobs) Tisdale, a beautiful matriarch, mother, and grandmother of ministers and leaders, influencer of generations – past, present, and future – and founding member of Bethel Worship Center, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.  Her smiling face and quiet presence will be missed by many, but her legacy lives on.

Rose was born on June 2, 1933 to the late John Laverne Jacobs and the late Esther Martha (Hulett) Jacobs in Crossville, Illinois. Rose married Arthur Leon Tisdale in Crossville on December 2, 1955. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2011. Rose graduated from Crossville High School and Lockyear Business College in Evansville, Indiana.

Rose retired as the Assistant Director of the Little Tot Campus Daycare, and she also worked in the cafeteria at Bethel Christian Academy. Rose’s favorite pastime was spending time with her kids and making sure they were happy.  Her life was centered around God, Kingdom, and family.

Rose is survived by her 4 children; Sharon (Gary) Dalton, Marion, Indiana, Vickie (Mark) Nelson, Marion, Indiana, Tamara (Joe) McCoy, Marion, Indiana, and Steven (Ann) Tisdale, Marion, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; Nathan (Tasha) Dalton, Marion, Indiana, Todd (Miriam) Dalton, Marion, Indiana, Denise (Aaron) Oyler, Swayzee, Indiana, Danielle (Adam) Nelson, Marion, Indiana, Nicole LeMaster, Boston, Massachusetts, Josh (Brianna) LeMaster, Marion, Indiana, Matt Tisdale, Marion, Indiana, Haylee (Arturo) Segovia, Marion, Indiana, and Jacob McCoy, Marion, Indiana; sister, Wilma Jones, Jerseyville, Illinois; and 9 great grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, John and Esther, her husband, Arthur, and 2 brothers, Ronald Jacobs and John Jacobs.

Arrangements are being handled by the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, Indiana 46953, where there will be a visitation on Friday, February 5th, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 pm. There will be a funeral service honoring Rose’s life on Saturday, February 6th at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Henson and Pastor Gary Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Grant Memorial Park in Marion, Indiana.
