Ronnie Lee Bates, 50, went to be with the Lord on Saturday July 8, 2017.
Ronnie was born on April 16, 1967 to Glen and Olive (Woodruff) Bates. His mother resides in Peru Indiana. Ronnie was the youngest of five siblings: Teresa Hamrick and her husband William of Miami, Indiana, Nancy Peters and her husband Earnest of Morenci, Michigan, N.J. and Tracy Miles of Findlay, Ohio, and Wayne Bates and his wife Michelle of Peru Indiana. He has two daughters, Megan (Bates) Figura Montana , Chloe Bates Jonesboro, Indiana .
Ronnie graduated from Kokomo High School, then attended Indiana Wesleyan University, where he achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Science. He served in the National Guard for 13 years.
Visitation will be held from 1pm-2pm at Family Fellowship Church of God at 360 Harrison Avenue in Peru on Friday, July 14,2017. Funeral service will follow at 2pm, with Pastors Randy Shinolt and Jerry Galloway officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, with military rites provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
