Ronald Leroy Lahey

Ronald Leroy Lahey, 90, Marion, died at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Colonial Oaks Health Care Center in Marion. He was born in Winchester, Indiana, on April 15, 1927, to the late Harold M. and Vivian (Kraft) Lahey. On May 11, 1946, Ronald married Pauline Carpenter, and she survives.

Ronald was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed anything that had to do with carpentry work. He used this gift on several mission trips he participated on. He worked 23 years at NEI District Center at Shiloh Park in Marion and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Ronald loved to fish, attend the sporting events of his grandkids, and, above all, spend time with his family.

He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 71 years, Pauline; children, Paul (Lila) Lahey, Winchester, Betty Clement, Marion, Keith (Kay) Lahey, Winchester, and Connie Gulley, Marion; 11 grandchildren, Jeff (Lisa) Lahey, Scott (Michelle) Lahey, Brian (Kristi) Davis, Kimm (Clay) Davis, Cara Clement, Christy (Keith) Shook, April Lahey, Brad Lahey, Heather (Dave) Bennett, Valerie Harmon, and Diana (Ted) Sell; 31 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Joe Clement; brother, Carldon Lahey; grandson, Craig Clement; and great-grandson, Austin Lahey.

The family will receive visitors from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Services to celebrate Ronald’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Clark officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
