Roger L. Hoffman, 61, Jonesboro, died in his home at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, to Jean A. and Naomi E. (Klepinger) Hoffman. On August 11, 2001, Roger married Angel Hillman, and she survives.

Roger was a graduate of Northmont High School. He was a car hauler for Cassens Transportation in Lafayette. Roger was always a hard-working family man and everybody loved him. He was a good man and was always there for anyone who needed help, whether to listen to someone or to put his mechanical skills to use. Roger was also a quiet man and, yet, funny. He was a huge NASCAR fan and especially followed Ryan Newman. Roger enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and traveling to Texas. He was a member of Teamsters Horsemen 69 N Motorcycle Association.

In addition to his loving wife of 15 years, Angel, Roger is survived by his children, Brian (Mindy) Hoffman, Grandview, Texas, Joanna Kimberlin, Brookville, Ohio, Josh (Lacey) Shumaker, Eaton, Marissa (Teddy) Fode, Upland, and Tim Bennett, Marion; siblings, Sam Hoffman, Newburg, Missouri, Carol (Joseph) Sujka, Arcanum, Ohio, Ann (Charles) Reboulet, West Milton, Ohio, Bruce (Susi) Hoffman, Lewisburg, Ohio, Debbie Kollinger, Greenville, Ohio, and Bob (Robin Nicholas) Hoffman, Brighton Mills, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Loretta Klepinger, Brookville, Ohio; grandchildren, Garrett, Kendra, Brent, Faye, Logan, Brantley, Remington, Athena, and Aurora; several nieces and nephews; and father- and mother-in-law, Herbert (Rosalie) Hillman.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dan Klepinger and Don Hoffman, and sister-in-law, Sharon Hoffman.

A memorial visitation will be held for Roger from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City. His service will begin at 2 p.m..
