Roger L. Boocher, 73, Paoli, IN formerly of Sidney, IN and Columbia City, IN died at 9:45 p.m. Monday, July 4, 2016 in Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born March 19, 1943 in Whitley County, IN to Oscar & Eileen (Miller) Boocher. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1961. On September 30, 2005 he married Judy Hill Oliver. Roger retired from Essex Corporation, Fort Wayne, IN in 2003 after 34 years of service. He was employed with White Metal Rolling and Stamping, Warsaw, IN from 1961-1968. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines and was an avid fisherman and mushroom hunter. Roger was a counsel member of the Wildwood Association, Paoli, IN. He is survived by his wife, Judy Boocher, Paoli, IN; son, Brian (Rita) Boocher, Claypool, IN; daughter, Robin Boocher Garrard, Claypool, IN; step sons, Neil (Ann) Gordon, Hudson, IN, Larry (Michele) Gordon, Columbia City, IN and Tracy (Wendy) Biehl, Andrews, IN; brothers, Dick Boocher, South Whitley, IN and Robert (Tammy) Boocher, Pierceton, IN; sister, Marylin (James) Perryman, Portage, IN; 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
