Roger G. Searles, age 75, of Huntington, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.
Visitation will be from 2 – 6 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Bailey-Love Mortuary. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park in Marion.

Roger was born August 20, 1941 in Huntington, the son of Alva and Mildred (Buzzard) Searles. He was a 1959 graduate of Jefferson Township High School and he served in the United States Army. On February 8, 1969 he married Mary Lou Buroker, and she preceded him in death on August 27, 1992. Roger retired from Fisher Body in Marion after 35 years of service and enjoyed Coon Hunting Club in Andrews.
Survivors include two daughters – Renita Searles of Marion and Tonya Searles of Roanoke; two sisters – Ruth Shenefield of Silver Lake and Mable (Robert) Burnsworth of Huntington; four brothers – Glen Searles and Gene (Pat) Searles, both of Huntington, Ray (Jane) Searles of Bluffton, and Herb (Nisa) Searles of Lebanon; three grandsons – Hunter Searles of Marion, Zach Stell of Huntington, and Trace Searles of Marion; and a granddaughter, Gabby Stell of Huntington. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Carl Searles and Joe Searles, and three sisters, Carlette Searles, Barbara Searles, and Louise Anderson.
