Roger E. Shively, 90, North Manchester, IN died at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN.  He was born May 30, 1930 in Whitley County, IN to Lawrence & Sarah E. (Black) Shively.  He graduated from Churubusco High School in 1943.  He then served 2 years of Civilian Public Service.  He attended Manchester College for 2 years.  On May 8, 1953 he married Verna M. Hoover. He was a truck driver for the Church of the Brethren, Windsor, MD. He then was employed at Coppes Kitchens in Nappanee, IN for 10 years. He then was co-owner with his wife Verna of S & S Cabinet Co. of Warsaw, IN for 7 years. He, his wife, and children delivered the Journal Gazette in and surrounding Warsaw, IN from 1970-1980. He then retired from Manchester College Maintenance Department in 1991 after 18 years service. He worked part-time at Miller & Sons Lumber, Silver Lake, IN and Ace Hardware in Warsaw, IN after retiring. He was a former member of the West Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester, IN.  Roger is survived by his wife, Verna Shively, North Manchester, IN; one son, Karl L. Shively, Goshen, IN; three daughters, Cynthia A. (Bradley) Baumgardner, Tampa, FL, Donna J. (Quentin) Moudy, Warsaw, IN and Pamela S. Shively, Shelbyville, IN; one brother, Dale (Jean) Shively, Columbia City, IN; three sisters, Oliva Toor, Symrna Beach, FL, Pearl “Skip” (Jim) Baughman, Fort Wayne, IN and Marcella (Ron) Helgesen, Kendallville, IN; grandchildren, Lori Tilsley, Andrew & Brett Bumgardner, Grant & Devyn Shively, Preston, Daryann & Taralynn Moudy and great grandchild, Chase Tilsley.  One brother, Noah Shively and four sisters are deceased.  Family and friends may call March 29, 2016 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN.  Services March 29, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, IN.  Pastor Don Fecher, Rev. Joan Deeter and Pastor Don Ritchey will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.  For those who wish to honor the memory of Roger E.
