Robert T. (Bob) York, 63, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at his residence.
Bob was born on October 25, 1953 to Glenn and Marvis (Wolfe) York in San Diego, California. He was one of three siblings, and is survived by a twin sister, Eileen York. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael York.
On January 14, 1978, he married Sherry Myrick, his wife of 39 years. They have three sons: Robert Jr. (Laraine), Richard (Martha), and Christopher. Also, one nephew, Dusty, and one grandson, Trevor.
Bob was past president of the Bunker Hill Lion’s Club. He had a passion for supporting his community. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service, and most recently worked for Kirby-Risk. He was also a member and deacon of the Bunker Hill Freewill Baptist Church, where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School.
Visitation will be held from 9am – 11am at the Bunker Hill Freewill Baptist Church on Monday, July 10, 2017. Funeral service will follow at 11am, with Pastor Bill Sheets officiating. Military service will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.
