Robert “Mousie” E. Morris, 85, Gas City, died at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System, Marion. He was born in Muncie, IN, to the late Isaak and Inez (Mullin) Hansard. On April 10, 1962, he married Nellie Skeens, and she survives.
Mousie was a U.S. Army veteran, and he retired from Foster Forbes, where he was a machine operator. He was a member of AA for 35 years, and he made many friends. Mousie loved singing, roller skating, and NASCAR.
Loved ones he leaves behind in addition to his wife, Nellie, include his children, Wanda Sitzes, NC, Bobbi Williams, IN, Terance “Ted” Grabow, IN, Linda (Bob) Ball, SC, and Denise (Doug) Sanford, TN; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Morris, IN; and sister, Frances Smith, IN.
Also preceding him in death were his son, Paul David Morris; sister, Helen Campbell; brother, John Morris; and adopted parents, Ervin (Sylvia) Morris.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bob VanCise officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
