Robert “Bob” L. Cox, 90, Marion, met his Lord and Savior at 12:50 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016, in Marion General Hospital. He was born in Jonesboro, IN, to the late Webster and Madge (Ruley) Cox. Bob was married to Marilyn D. (Miller) Cox, and she went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2010.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Grant County, and he served the Mill Township area for 25 years as a volunteer fireman. He was a farmer, a rural mail carrier for 30 years, and a bus driver for 25 years with Mississinewa Community Schools. Bob held his church membership at Westview Wesleyan in Jonesboro, where he was a vocalist and the organist/pianist for many years.

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Lowell) Gafford, Jonesboro; son, Joe (Rhonda) Cox, Euharlee, GA; twin sister, Roberta “Betty” Jeffrey, Jonesboro; grandchildren, David (Melissa) Gafford, Fishers, Julie (Nathan) Lamb, Littleton, CO, Jamie Cox, Indianapolis, Jaclyn (Marty) Reiswig, Centennial, CO, Jenae (Aaron) Lipman, McKinney, TX, Mandy (Paul) David, Rollen (Kayla) Mason, and Jarod (Samantha) Mason; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Westview Wesleyan Church, 1300 W. 6th St., Jonesboro, IN, with Rev. Dale Dorothy officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
