Robert “Bob” Johnson (Low Bob), 62, Marion, died at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Born in Fairfax County, Virginia, on November 26, 1954, to the late Charles Johnson and Geraldine (Benson) Haynes, Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a millwright throughout his career. He loved to ride his motorcycle, be outdoors, and spend time with his family, especially boating and camping.
He is survived by his children, Brandon (fiancé Teela Pierce) Johnson, Marion, Terah (Julius) Mays, Gas City, and Maddison Johnson, Florida; significant other, Raquel Veler; brother, Phil (Michelle) Johnson, Warsaw; sister, Cindy (Randy) Cain, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Branson Johnson, Laiah Mays, and Londyn Mays; step-father, Paul Haynes; aunt, Janet Warner; and cousins, Jerry Lynn and John Warner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-mother, Janice Johnson; grandparents, Gertrude (Ed) Johnson; and aunt, Susan Johnson.
The family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 2 p.m. with Bob’s funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Burial will follow at a later date.
