Richard Lee (Dickie) Clemons, 50, Peru, went home to be with. the Lord with his family by his side at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Dukes Memorial Hospital, following a five year battle with cancer. He was born December 19, 1965 in Peru to Inita (Sparks) Clemons and the late James Richard Clemons. He graduated from Peru High School in 1984. On June 29, 1993, he married Tracy L. Campbell, and she survives. Richard worked at Kokomo Tube until their closing, and then Alloy Custom Products in Delphi.

Richard enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his granddaughters. He loved all types of music and was blessed with the musical talent of playing drums. He was an avid Butler Bulldogs fan. Memberships include the Literary Aid Society, Eagles, and VFW. Richard was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared by all.

In addition to his wife Tracy, survivors include two sons, Shane Clemons (Amber) Peru; Colton Clemons, Peru; two granddaughters, Callista and Celes Clemons. He also leaves behind his mother, Inita Clemons, Peru; two sisters, Deb Clemons, Peru; Kim Taylor (Russ), Belleville, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Richard Clemons.

Family and friends may call at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Virgil Barker officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to cover medical expense through the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
