Richard L. “Dick” Keller, 76, of Peru, passed away at 4:25 P.M., August 3, 2016 St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo, IN. He was born in Danville, IL on June 9, 1940 the son of Paul and Elizabeth Keller. Dick married Marsha Ann Boone on February 4, 1967 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Peru and she survives. Dick was a 1958 Perrysville High School graduate, and a 1962 graduate of Indiana State University. He taught for 38 years retiring in 2002 from Peru High School. Dick was a member of the Peru Maennerchor and the Baseball Coach Association. He coached for Peru High School Baseball for 20 years and was an avid woodworker. Surviving in addition to his wife, Marsha, is a daughter Risha L. DeLawter and her husband Michael of Mitchell, IN and a son, Dr. Richard Keller and his wife Stacy of Noblesville, IN; grandchildren Alex Farag, Katie DeLawter, Daniel Keller and Bridget Keller and special care givers, John and Casey Miller. A service celebrating the life of Richard L. “Dick” Keller will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main St., Peru with Rev. J. Robert Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport. Family and friends will gather from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the Alzheimer’s Association.
