Richard E. Losher, age 80, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Marion General Hospital in Marion, IN.
He was born December 7, 1936 to Walter and Goldie Losher in Miami County. He married Judith Waymire on September 19,1959, she preceded him in death on March 29, 2009. Also preceded in his death were sisters, Marilla Gooch, Shirley White and Carol Erbaugh.
Richard is survived by a sister Alicia (Jerry) Garber, and 3 children, daughter Michelle (James) Treckman of Wabash, sons, Mark (Vicki) Losher of Mentone, and R Jeffrey ( Elizabeth) Losher of Roann. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Matthew Hicks (fiance Leah Groeger) of Indianapolis, Seth Losher of Fort Wayne, Emily Losher and Danielle Losher of Wabash, Brent ( Jessie) Losher of Denver, IN, R.Scott (Whitney) Losher and Meagan (Josh) Green of Warsaw. He is survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Richard served in the United States Army for three years. He worked several years at U.S. Gypsum in Wabash, retiring in 1999.
He was an avid bowler and collector of many things, including coins, antiques, oil lamps and a very extensive collection of license plates. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Richard was known for his keen sense of humor.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday December 17th at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home in Peru. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm with Pastor Kirk Johnson officiating. Preferred memorial is to the Wabash Church of the Nazarene.
